I was trying to find the right time to share these photos… About 2 months ago I had a branding photoshoot with the very talented @sarav.jpg and she completely took my inspiration and the vision I had in my head and brought it to life!

Then I realized... July 2nd marks 6 years of Just Jess Hair Studio. 🤍

I’ve moved locations over the years, but the same love and energy still surrounds my space, and I’m so grateful. I can thank my clients for that. 🫶🏻 The conversations that happen in my chair are one of my favorite parts of this “job.”

A while back, I wasn’t even sure I’d be able to color hair anymore (iykyk), but with patience and determination, I figured it out.

I’ve never liked to compartmentalize my skills in this industry. I love a little of this and a little of that when it comes to hair. I’ve dived into just about everything, and I used to think it was a bad thing that I didn’t have one specific “thing.” But it turns out... that’s just not me.

I’ve realized my versatility is my specialty. Whether you’re in my chair for color, extensions, bridal hair, or a fresh cut, I pour the same passion into every appointment. I’m always learning, always evolving, and always striving to give my clients the best experience possible.

Six years later, I’m more confident in who I am as a stylist and business owner than ever before, and I truly can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings. Thank you to every single person who’s trusted me with your hair, cheered me on, referred a friend, or simply supported this dream.

Just Jess Hair Studio wouldn’t be what it is without you. Here’s to the next six. 🥂🤍

A huge thank you to my beautiful models @kourtneylamantia & @alexandramaebernard 😘 & thank you @sarav.jpg for this amazing experience!

“I want strawberry blonde meets spring glowy”

🍓🌿🌼✨

Celine came in with two different red colors going on from the front to back of her head. The front of her hair was a much darker tone of red from the back. Over lapping box color at home can do this. I’m so happy she came in cause now she is glowing and shining all around! 🫶🏻

Found this sitting in my drafts and can’t believe I’ve been holding onto it since last June…

This is my bride Jess, not only does she have a fab name😉 but she is one of the kindest, most genuine souls I’ve met in such a long time. She found me all the way from the UK and traveled to NYC for her wedding—one of her favorite places in the world, where I had the honor of styling her and her sweet mum. I don’t typically travel into the city for weddings, but when Jess reached out, I just knew this day would be something special. Truly one for the books 🤍

Almost one month into the new year, I’m sitting here reflecting on last year. Whether you sat in my chair or were simply along for the ride, 2025 was one of the busiest and most exciting years of my life—the year I got 30 brides + myself married!! 🤍

Planning a wedding is one of the hardest events you’ll ever take on. It can feel overwhelming, challenging, and never-ending… but there’s something I learned that I wish I knew from the very beginning: it all works out.
Being on the other side and experiencing what every bride feels is truly eye-opening. It’s not for the weak, I’ll say that much! I now understand the appreciation my clients have for me even more, and I was lucky enough to experience that same level of support from my incredible vendors.

Shoutout to my beauty team—@ashleyglazerhair, you are an inspiration and an absolute hair rockstar! And @makeupbysasha, my glam was 🔥 I felt incredible all day long thanks to you!

As I step into the rest of this year, I’m so excited to meet my 2026 brides and celebrate each love story ahead. Appreciating the calm when it finds me, and embracing the beauty that comes with the busy, this is the season I’m walking into. 🌱🌙🌞

Loving all these hair chops! Also loving that I am being a little more consistent with posting and remembering to take pics and videos! 😆📸

“A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life.”

As a hairstylist there’s nothing I love seeing more than this.. as women, our hair is our security blanket it helps us hide away from what we are too shy for others to see. But sometimes you have to rip or CHOP it away and let that confidence SHINE through that’s been there all along! ✨💁🏻‍♀️

One of my favorite things about wedding mornings is the LOVE that you can feel in the room! Everyone’s excited, living in the moment and there’s so much build up till the final minute before it’s time to walk out to that door and into your forever.🥰 That’s exactly what Gab’s day was all about! 🤍

🤍🤍🤍 This was such a fun experience with my mom! All I needed was perm in my hair from 1993 & I would have been her exact twin!

Jamie had all the relaxing getting ready vibes for her wedding day! Surrounded by her mom, sisters, and close friends that morning, everybody was able to enjoy the calm, before the excitement of the day ahead! We even had a Sabrina Carpenter blasting in the background all morning! 🎤💋💛

One of my goals for 2025 is to be more consistent with posting hair and share content! I’ve let too many moments past to show what I can really do, and I think a huge part of that was fear.

This industry looks fun and easy from the outside cause “ I just do hair” but there’s so much behind the scenes that not everybody sees. Finding a balance in my personal life vs my career is something I’m still trying to learn, but this year I am bringing you guys along with me!

Get ready to see JUST what this girl can DO!💁🏻‍♀️☪️✨

Why brides choose a whimsical braided hairstyle for their wedding day…?

Versatility: it’s the perfect blend of elegance and playfulness. Braids have a timeless, ethereal quality that can feel both classic and fresh at the same time.

Textures & Romantic: Braids add texture, which creates a romantic, soft, and natural look. They can be paired with delicate accessories like floral pins, pearls, or crystals, enhancing their dreamy aesthetic.

Long-lasting: They are secure and durable, which makes them perfect for a wedding day. A comfortable style that will stay in place through dancing the night away *especially when adding a white cowboy hat to dress it up!* 🤠🤍✨🪩
